One Minute Movies
In 2015 I had some unwanted free time on my hands. I decided to create a new, one minute movie everyday. Unfortunately I got a job and had to stop. Please watch a few of these, there are 144 films in all.
Our hero, Raven Mack, writes poetry on a jukebox in nature.
A film/poetry collaboration with Raven Mack, poet. The Last Sonnet, the Heroic Crown.
A meditation on afternoon light.
Math sings a civil war dirge. What kind of name is Math?
I shot this one minute movie shortly after my father died. He was the king of creepy paintings, so in honor of him I snuck in some subliminal frames to make you feel uncomfortable.
What makes you afraid?
But you were not there.
Happy Birthday Mom!
A creepy, funny satire about bad neighbors, taxidermy, and the predator lurking within. This movie has the haunting mark of every childhood campfire story about the menacing man looming in the dark.
This movie is a documentary about Belmont, the comfortably wrong-side-of-the-tracks, quirky heart of Charlottesville, Virginia. We shot it over a four year period, doing our best to capture the history, aching beauty, and strange Southern Gothic undertones of a place both frozen in time and constantly moving.
